SUMMARY:Sleep Depravation and Foot and Toe Pressure Demo Combined - 10\,000 Toes
DESCRIPTION:This presentation is actually two different presentations in one. \n\nSleep Depravation\nFoot Care\n\nSleep Depravation \nGetting enough sleep has always been part of our health message\, however ensuring that we are not sleep deprived is more an issues most don’t realise.  In fact 75% of the population have no idea they are sleep deprived\, and if not rectified\, this can have a devastating effect on their health. \nFoot Care \nSleep is vital to good health\, even more so if we are diabetic\, we must also make sure our feet are well cared for.  After the presentation you will also have the experience of a doppler demonstration on your own feet for a gold coin donation.  This can inform you of the quality of the blood flow. \n \nPamela Townend\nCampaign Coordinator\nAUSTRALIA \nPamela has been with the Campaign since its inception in October 2017 and has a passion to see the tide turned on diabetes especially knowing firsthand the impact diabetes can have on families. \nPamela oversees operations in Australia and helps increase awareness while supporting the Lead Ambassadors in the field

SUMMARY:Prayer: Dare to Connect with God
DESCRIPTION:Dare 2 Connect: With God\n \nPrayer is one of the most intimate ways we can connect to God. One fascinating feature of prayer is that it is unique between every person and God. No one prays quite the same. Each of us may find ourselves praying in a different way depending on the situation\, the need\, or what we have to say to God. In this workshop we will look to Scripture and explore various ways we can connect with God through prayer. \n \nPastor Nicu Dumbrava\nPastor Nicu Dumbrava is the Personal Ministries Director for the Australian Union Conference. Nicu has been married to Grace for over 29 years and they have two beautiful children. Together they have sought to impact the world for better staring their journey into ministry in 1997 when they moved to Australia. After his graduation from Avondale University in 2001\, Nicu served as the pastor in the South NSW Conference and Personal Ministries Director in the WA Conference. He is convinced that if the church today is connected by the power of the Holy Spirit and is feeding on the Word of God it can have the same impact that the early church had.

SUMMARY:Creating a LinkedIn Profile
DESCRIPTION:  \nAs part of the SPD Division People Strategy\, we are working to improve Talent Attraction within church entities by growing the Adventist Professionals LinkedIn Group.  It is a private group (it can have up to 2 million members) and we hope to grow it so that we have as many of our church members on it as possible. \nThis enables all church entities to headhunt through LinkedIn and find Adventists with specific skills.  Our Union and Conference Offices can use the LinkedIn Profiles to assist finding updated and current information about nominees for various roles (sitting alongside PSR-personel service record) particularly where nominees may not be current church employees. Local Churches can also use it to assist them during nomination times to fill roles.  Aside from this\, the individual can contact others within the group\, and it enables people to be connected on a professional level. \nWorkshops:  In order to grow the LinkedIn Group\, we need to upskill many people on creating a resume.  Many church employees have never had to go through a normal recruitment process\, and more broadly than that\, many people do not have an updated resume in a format that HR personnel find useful.  The workshops we will conduct has two parts: \n\nCreating a Resume\nCreating a LinkedIn Profile @ joining the Adventist Professionals Group.\n\nThe South Pacific Division of the church is promoting the growth of the Adventist Professionals LinkedIn Group. \n  \nProfessional networking groups like Adventist Professionals allow you to connect with professionals in your field of expertise\, expand your network and foster valuable relationships amongst like-minded Adventists.  The benefits of joining the group include increasing networking ability\, knowledge sharing\, gaining visibility\, building credibility (as a thought leader)\, finding job opportunities\, and developing professionally. \n  \nFoundational to you joining a LinkedIn Group is the need to create your LinkedIn Profile\, part of which means having an up-to-date resume.  To support this\, you are invited to join a workshop/s to help you develop your resume and/or create a LinkedIn Profile. \nWorkshop Sessions are as follows: \nSession 1 – Mon – Thursday 2:30pm – 3:30pm – Resume Writing\nSession 2 – Mon – Thursday 3:45pm – 4:45pm – Creating a LinkedIn Profile

Having moved regularly and often during my life\, including 4 years in the Pacific\, I feel blessed that God has been able to use these experiences to help me serve Him and others at the South Pacific Division Office. I love working with missionaries; volunteers or paid\, it doesn’t matter – their passion for people and of course Jesus is always inspiring. SUMMARY:Branding or Rebranding yourself for greater mission - in two parts.
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever felt like there must be something more\, that talents you have are being wasted at worst or not utilised to their fullest at best?   Those feeling can come from what the Bible talks about burying talents in the sand\, and not improving them.  Sometime we are capable of so much more\, but it seems circumstance prevents us reaching those goals.  If you feel anything like this then this workshop is for you. \nThe presenters here are very good at building a personal brand for people through coaching\, and allowing them to achieve their goals. \nThe workshop is actually in two parts\, and it’s not just about formatting a resume to make it look professional\, and the usual ways they can be written.  The first part is about special ways of crafting a resume to make sure you make the short list for the job or position you really want. \nThe second part is how to use and leverage the social media/linked in profiles to position yourself in a place where companies will actually chase you\, and head hunt you. \nWith people in careers usually working for a single employers for about 2.5 to 3.5 years these days\, it is becoming so much more important to have these skills. \nCompleting this workshop will also allow you to become part of the SPD Division People Strategy\, we are working to improve Talent Attraction within church entities by growing the Adventist Professionals LinkedIn Group.  It is a private group (it can have up to 2 million members) and we hope to grow it so that we have as many of our church members on it as possible. \nThis enables all church entities to headhunt through LinkedIn and find Adventists with specific skills.  Our Union and Conference Offices can use the LinkedIn Profiles to assist finding updated and current information about nominees for various roles (sitting alongside PSR-personnel service record) particularly where nominees may not be current church employees. Local Churches can also use it to assist them during nomination times to fill roles.  Aside from this\, the individual can contact others within the group\, and it enables people to be connected on a professional level. \n \n  \n
