Basic Auslan Level 1
We are running Auslan workshops at Big Camp again this year. Just Auslan, a team of Deaf Auslan teachers will be teaching some basic Australian Sign Language (Auslan). About 1 in 3 Australians have a form of hearing loss but only about 0.06% of the population knows Auslan. The Deaf Community are one of the most underrepresented groups in the SDA Church, so, come along on at 2:30-3:30pm for complete newbies or 3:45-4:45pm for people who came last year on the 16th, 18th, and 19th of September to learn some basic sign so you can welcome and include a person who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing into your church.
