The workshop will be less of a philosophical discussion on Identity and more of a deep dive Bible Study into Revelation chapters 12 and 14. A time for reflection and discussion will happen after the exploration.
Pr Mark Turner
Soon after his parents divorced Mark left the Adventist church as a disillusioned teenager. Becoming self-reliant, he dreamed of fame and fortune, first as a heavy metal guitarist, and then as a horse trainer.
But after several years of failing miserably to achieve either goal and of seeing his life begin to spiral out of control, he realized his desperate need of God and in his early 20s he made a decision to commit his life to Christ. For the first time in his life he began to experience fulfillment and purpose as he discovered for himself the excitement of the Adventist message.
He now has a special interest in the unique identity and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and in 2015 completed an MTh (Research) thesis examining the basis for Adventist identity in the book of Revelation. He currently serves as pastor for the Gin Gin and Hinkler Churches, and lives in Bundaberg with his wife April and his two daughters.
