Catalyst is a discipleship experience hosted by the SPD’s Institute4Discipleship born out of the vision to see a Jesus-centered, Spirit-filled, disciple-making community.

Since 2023, Catalyst has been offered as a 12-week short course at Avondale University. To reach even more people, we’ve recently curated shorter formats in our 7-day Catalyst Express and weekend events hosted by local conferences. Catalyst will lead you to personally KNOW the transforming presence of Jesus, GROW in the knowledge of His Word and His Will for your life. And equip you to GO, in His name and in the power of the Holy Spirit to be a disciple maker and make a difference in your local community.

Who is Catalyst for?

• Anyone seeking clarity or direction about their personal calling
• Anyone in a current church ministry role that would like guidance in leadership
• Anyone wanting to be equipped with a toolkit of missional skills that can be implemented in a variety of contexts and communities
• Anyone who’s ready to be a Spirit led disciple and make disciples

Catalyst 12-week Discipleship Experience

When: Semester 1 2026, Feb 16-May 15
Cost: $1,309 (tuition) + $1,596 (meals for the 12 weeks) + $840 (refundable room bond)
Location: Avondale University Campus, Lake Macquarie NSW
Participants: 18 at time of registration, special consideration for 17 year olds.
Accommodation: Gender based dorms on Avondale campus
