Creative Ways of Serving Jesus at Big Camp

David Tasker and his wife Sheree have found a unique way to serve. While driving taxis, David once had a conversation with a regular passenger, an older lady who revealed she had cancer and was wearing a wig. It made him think about children battling cancer and how hair donations could help.

From that moment, David began growing his hair with a purpose—long enough to make wigs for kids with cancer. The minimum length required is 20cm, and earlier this year he finally reached it. Along the way, he discovered a humorous challenge of long hair in marriage: his wife accidentally tugging on it from time to time, just as many couples experience with each other.

Now, with the help of ADRA hairdresser Dr Emma and ADRA barber Epa, his journey has reached its goal. What started two years ago as an idea has become a tangible way to bring hope and joy to children in need.
