Roger is a father of four, a husband of one, and a pastor to many. Presently he is the Ministerial and Evangelism Director for the Southern Union Conference. He has served in ministry for over 30 years. One of Seven Pastors in his family, Pr Hernandez received his BS Degree in Theology as a graduate of Columbia Union College, and received his MDiv from Andrews Adventist Seminary.

Born in Cuba and fully bilingual, Pastor Hernandez has participated in events in both English and Spanish. Pr Hernandez is a speaker that motivates people to action and has spoken all over the world effectively in both the faith-based and business spaces. He speaks on leadership, evangelism, accountability and diversity (LEAD). He Connects well with all audiences of all generations and is known for delivering messages in a clear, simple and engaging style. He has the gift of practicality.

Pr Hernandez’s hobbies are reading, writing, traveling, and playing a variety of sports. His love for Jorgan’s is well Known. Some of his passions are mentoring, public speaking, church planting and helping in the revitalization of congregations.

Pr Hernandez is a prolific writer and the author of over 34 books in a variety of topics like, relationship, parenting, evangelism, church growth as well as preaching. Some of his books include, Failure is Not Final, We All Have Problems, Everyone Welcome, and the most recent, Graceful Parenting, published in 2025. Roger’s family includes his wife Kathy, 4 adult children, Yessenia, Deisy, Vanessa, Jonathan and 4 granddaughters, Sara, Maya, Aida and Ismari.

Mark Pearce was born in Mackay, Queensland and grew up in a farming context. He graduated from Avondale College with a BA (PUC) in 1984 and worked as a church pastor first in the Northern Australian Conference (10 years) and then in the South Queensland Conference (24 years). He completed an MA Religion (Andrews University) in 1993, and then a BA Honours at the University of Queensland in 2007. He completed his Postgraduate Certificate in Ellen White and Adventist Studies in February 2024, and has now returned to work on his PhD. He worked at Pacific Adventist University as the inaugural Director of the Pacific Adventist Research Centre as well as teaching in the Theology faculty for 18 months prior to commencing his current role as Director of the Ellen G. White/SDA Research Centre at Avondale University in July 2020, which also includes teaching for the Seminary.

Ruben R. Rios serves as the Lead Pastor of the La Mesa Adventist Community Church in La Mesa, CA, USA. He’s passionate about helping people discover a deeper and more authentic relationship with God and loves sharing the hope, grace, and life-giving love revealed through Jesus, his best friend. He earned a B.A. in Religious Studies from La Sierra University and an M.Div. from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary. Outside of ministry, he enjoys spending time with family and visiting Disneyland. He has been happily married to his wife Martha for twenty-three years, and together they have two children, Ruben and Mia.

The Youth Tent is excited to welcome pastor Michael Lewis as our preacher for Big Camp. Pastor Michael is the Associate Director for the North American Division Evangelism Institute. He is passionate about evangelism, church planting, and coaching pastors in church revitalisation and community development. We are so excited to have Michael join us with his wife Raquel and daughter Oria.

Hi! My name is Carlos, I’m an intern minister serving in Perth, Western Australia. I was born in New Zealand, but have spent majority of my life here in Australia. I’m married to my beautiful wife, Sela and we have been blessed with our little girl, Leylana. In my spare time, I love to run a little and golf a lot haha.
In school, I really enjoyed maths—understanding it for myself and then sometimes helping my friends grasp some of the concepts. In the same way, the Bible can sometimes feel difficult to understand, and I find great joy in helping others discover its deeper truths in a simple, practical, and relatable way. More than just explaining Scripture, I love helping people see who God is through His Word and by the way I try to live my life, so they can experience His love and character in everyday life!

Hi, I’m Pr Megan, and I work in a church and a school in WA. I think Jesus is the absolute best and can’t wait to come and share Him with you! I am very passionate about people and having deep conversations. I love reading and a good board game. I also love going on a walk or a road trip, especially if there’s a waterfall involved. My life is also run by two little dachshunds. I’m very excited to talk on the theme of facing giants for Juniors this year because we can face all our giants with Jesus! Looking forward to seeing you in the Juniors tent!

Natasha Su'a currently serves as the Assistant Youth Director for VicYouth. Before stepping into this role, she pastored in Mildura and Avondale University Church.
A New Zealand-born Samoan raised in Melbourne, Natasha is passionate about youth and family ministry. Her ministry philosophy is grounded in the belief that families provide the foundation for lifelong faith, and nurturing that faith is a shared responsibility between families and the wider community of believers.
Natasha enjoys communicating the gospel and exploring different cultures through travel, experiencing life like a local, and discovering food along the way. This curiosity about people, cultures, and different ways of life helps her understand the needs of those she serves and contextualise faith in meaningful and relevant ways.
She loves family, food, gatherings, and music, especially singing in choirs and groups. Natasha is also known for her infectious laughter—you usually hear her before you see her.
A verse that continues to shape her life and ministry is Philippians 1:6: “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” God's not done with you. No matter what stage of life or faith you are in, there is always room for growth, learning, and becoming more like Him.
